SARS Assistant Artisan Job Description

Job Purpose

To maintain Regional Corporate Real Estate (CRE) buildings/infrastructure by ensuring that all operational maintenance and facilities objectives are achieved

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

Grade 12 AND 1 year experience in a similar environment

Job Outputs:

Process

Check and ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and notify all affected parties immediately of all faults found.
Conduct regulatory compliance inspections to identify noncompliance and risks.
Keep up to date records of completed work.
Be observant and engage on possible violations of regulations, policies, SOPs and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.
Perform general handwork and routine maintenance to agreed quality standards.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers, SARS role players and third parties to achieve predefined objectives.
Provide minor maintenance repairs and less complicated to business operations on a daily basis, assist in executing minor reactive maintenance programs in multiple sites.
Ensure quality of work content, quick turnaround, prioritise, minimise mistakes and continuously improve quality, service and standards.
Deliver on contracted performance objectives according to set procedures and agreed service level agreements.
Embrace change initiatives and positively contribute to the success thereof within area of accountability.
Identify problems, apply known solutions in line with procedures or guidelines and escalate unresolved problems.
Plan and organise own work in an effective and efficient manner to reach agreed performance objectives.
Report on transactional activity progression within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making in area of accountability.
Communication of transactional outputs and queries in area of work.
