SARS Auditor Compliance Audit (X1) Job Description
Job Purpose
To plan and conduct standard audits on a risk profile basis to ensure compliance.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
National Diploma (NQF 6) in Audit, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which 1-2 years ideally at knowledge worker level
OR
Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 5 years’ experience in an Audit environment
Preferred Knowledge
Company Tax (CIT) Income Tax Act, Tax Admin Act, Interpretation of Financials, Basic Audit & Accounting Principles.
Job Outputs:
Process
Conduct standard audits to ensure compliance with the relevant acts.
Plan and organise own work tasks within area of work.
Develop productive working relationships with team members, team leaders and key role players in the business to support contracted work outputs.
Ensure that completed work adhere to relevant policies, procedures, governance and legislative requirements and report on deviations & discrepancies.
Be informed on related acts and regulations that might impact on own work.
Keep up to date records of completed work.
Ensure quality of work content, minimise mistakes and continuously improve quality and standards.
Deliver operating results within predefined quality, volume and time standards.
Take accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards and client service targets.
Constantly align own work method to changes in work requirements, procedures, policies, processes, and delivery systems to meet contracted targets.
Be observant and engage on possible violations of regulations, policies, SOPs and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.
Prepare and present submissions to interest and penalty committee.
Conduct end-to-end query resolution relating to audits conducted, including finalisation of objections and appeals.Governance
